The studio
Serendipity is a full-service studio on Del Prado, five minutes from the Cape Coral Bridge. Hair on one side, nails on the other, and a brow room in the back — so a colour, a manicure and a brow shape can happen in the same visit instead of three.
We use Paul Mitchell and other salon-grade lines, and we would rather tell you a shade will take two sessions than promise it in one and damage your hair. That is most of what the 4.9 rating is.

FAQ
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk-ins are welcome and always have been. That said, colour and keratin book the chair for two to four hours, so for those it is worth calling ahead or booking online.
Why does every price say “starting at”?
Because hair is not one size. Waist-length thick hair takes more product and more time than a bob, and colour that already has box dye on it takes an extra step. Your stylist gives you the exact price at the consultation, before anything is mixed.
What keratin do you use?
Discovery Express — a temporary smoothing treatment that works on the hydrogen bonds and realigns the hair from the first application, built around the Uttwiler Spätlauber apple stem cell. It smooths and adds shine without the harshness of older straightening systems. From $180.
Can I get hair and nails in the same visit?
Yes — that is the point of the layout. Sady works the nail station at the front while your colour processes, so a colour and a gel manicure often finish at the same time. Mention it when you book so we hold both.
Do you do permanent make-up?
Jenni, the owner, does microblading and brow tattoo from $300 and permanent eye liner from $150. Every one of those starts with a consultation — shape and colour are agreed and drawn on before a needle comes out.
What should I bring to a colour appointment?
Photos — of what you want and of what you hate. The second set tells us more than the first. And tell us honestly about any box dye or henna in the last year; it changes how the lightener behaves.

Keeping your colour alive in Florida sun
Salt, chlorine and UV are three separate attacks on the same pigment. Here is what actually slows them down.
Rinse before you swim. Hair that is already full of clean water absorbs far less pool or Gulf water, and it is the salt and chlorine soaking in that lifts pigment out. Thirty seconds under the shower before you get in does more than any product you can buy afterwards.
Wash less and cooler. Every hot wash opens the cuticle and lets a little dye escape. Two or three washes a week in lukewarm water, with a sulphate-free shampoo, will visibly stretch the life of a red or a copper — the two shades that fade fastest here.
And book a gloss between colours. A ten-minute toner at the six-week mark costs a fraction of a full colour and puts back the shine and the depth the sun has taken, which is usually all that is actually missing.

Keratin, explained without the hype
It is not a permanent straightening and it is not a relaxer. Knowing the difference saves you money.
A relaxer breaks the bonds in your hair chemically and the change is permanent — the only way out is growing it or cutting it. A keratin treatment does not do that. It smooths the outside of the hair and realigns it, and it washes out gradually over roughly three months. If someone promises you poker-straight hair forever from a keratin, they are selling you something else.
What it is genuinely good at is frizz and drying time. Curly and wavy hair keeps its shape but stops fighting the humidity, and most clients cut their blow-dry time roughly in half. In Cape Coral, in August, that is the whole reason people book it.
Ours is Discovery Express, which works on the hydrogen bonds rather than stripping the hair, so it can be done on coloured hair. Set aside two to three hours, and plan it before the humid months rather than in the middle of them.

The question we ask before we cut
Not “what do you want?” but “what will you actually do on a Tuesday morning?”
A photo tells us the shape you like. It does not tell us whether that shape survives you. Long layers that look effortless in the picture were blow-dried in sections with a round brush by somebody who does it for a living — if your real morning is a towel and ten minutes, that cut will disappoint you by Thursday.
So we ask about the Tuesday morning first, and then we adapt the shape to it: heavier ends that hold themselves, a length that air-dries without a kink, layers placed where your own growth pattern already wants to fall. Same picture, cut so it works without you.
